LABORATORY FACILITIES

The Computer Center of the department is well equipped with many modern facilities/utilities. The department has its own Local Area Network (Based on Ethernet) since 1995. This LAN currently supports 2 Novel Netware based file servers, 2 Linux servers and 1 Windows 2000 Server, all are inter-net-worked through switches & around 70 nodes connected to the above servers.

The department has its own intranet web server for internal services. The department has also received funds under TEQIP programme of MHRD. The laboratories being developed under this programme are

	Mobile Computing Laboratory
	Computer Hardware and Troubleshooting Laboratory

	DB2, Oracle , MySQL, Delphi, 3-d studio, Video Studio, Image Processing Software
	Software packages worth Rs. 50 lacs have been provided by IBM. DB2, Visual Age for Java, Domino server, Web-sphere.
